Grandfather and Grandmother Rock: The rocks are south of Lamai Beach. Mother nature created in millions of years with the help of wind and waves rock formations that look like genitals of a man and a woman. Because of the shape, the rocks are considered to be strong symbols of fertility.
Mummy Monk: Luong Por Gaeng was a highly respected monk who died 20 years ago. He died during meditation. That is the reason why his body has been conserved. Today you still can see the exact posture of his body when he died. You can find the mummified monk in the temple Wat Kunaram.
Namuang Waterfall 2: The Namuang Waterfall 2 is just 5 km away from Lamai Beach. You can get there by bus in just 5 minutes. The waterfall is 18m high. There is a natural pool where you can go swimming and refresh yourself. Don't forget to bring your bathing suites and a towel. Elephant Riding: you can have a 30 min ride at the back of an elephant through the jungle. Magic Garden: a forest monk living in the mountains created this unique scenery. He sculpted buddhist gods sculptures out of stone.
Big Buddha & Wat Phra Yai: This temple and Big Buddha is the islands most famous landmark. Its a beautiful view point where you can see the north of Koh Samui and its beach and the island Koh Phangan. |
