Shark Island is an unoccupied island of the south coast of Koh Tao.

Shark Island mainly consists of big rocks where you can see stingrays, puffer fishes, moray eels, barracudas, butterfly fishes, nudibranch and big swarms of small fishes. From time to time you can see turtles, leopard -, reef - and whale sharks. A particular attraction are the abundant hard and soft corals. A paradise for macrographers.

Shark Island is suitably for beginners as for experienced divers. Also Snorkelers will have a lot of things to see. Dives in depths up to 20 meters are doable and offers a lot worth seeing. Depending on the season the visibility can vary from 2 to 30 meters. There can be slightly to strong current.
